An important update on D-BOX PLUS

Hi everyone,

First off, we would like to thank you for your active participation in D-BOX PLUS. None of it would be possible without you, and we love the sense of community that YOU all helped to build!

That being said, after much evaluation, we’ve come to the decision to put an end only to the challenge/reward aspect of D-BOX PLUS.

We know that this may come as a surprise to some users, but ultimately our goal is for the platform to best serve you & the rest of the community. This is why, after a long reflection, we’ve decided to keep the D-BOX PLUS online community and transition it into a community for conversations—allowing you to brainstorm ideas, issues and more directly with D-BOX staff and with other D-BOX users all around the world.

Since it will be run using the same software, it will look identical. There will be no need to learn how to navigate a new platform!

As a result, any points that you currently have in your D-BOX PLUS account must be redeemed before March 28, 2023 . Any points that aren’t exchanged before this date will be lost and non-refundable. If you are unsure how to do so, here’s how to redeem your points.

Got points to redeem? Here’s how to get some nice rewards.

  1. Click on the “Rewards” button from the top management menu

  2. Rewards that are available for you to reward will appear on the page
    Note: Depending on how much points you have in your account, you may be entitled to redeem multiple rewards. You can see your total amount of points at the left of you account avatar in the top management menu. It has a coin icon beside.

  3. A D-BOX PLUS administrator will need to approve your redemption. It could take up to 24 to 48 hours to approve. We work from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm ET and will not approve redemption over the weekends.

  4. You’ll receive an email with the redemption’s details once it is approved.
    Points in your account that are not redeemable cannot be refund. You have until March 28, 2023 11:59pm ET to redeem your points.

Hi Jean! Good question. This feature will be removed by the end of the day, unfortunately.

What should we do with the Rest of the Points? For example, i have now a Rest of 498 points, are they Lost now after 28/03? It Would be fair to round up to the the next value for Gift :upside_down_face: (600).

In my honnest opinion @amelie.trepanier : announcing that the reward program will stop is really unfortunate (and for unknown reasons / too succesful?) but a bit ok-ish with an end date (1 month is also short), but immediately ending the (daily and challenge) rewards points on the same day as the announcement surely deserves no bouquets / is not really fair to your (most active users / ambassadors) who saved points for 2 years. This also had to be phased out (at least 1 month) as your visitors were returning / stimulated each day to come back to what the forum had to offer and respond to active subjects.

I am affraid that this forum / platform will be silent in a few weeks time due to inactivity. Mark my words…

The points were a lot of fun and I have not seen another forum that I have enjoyed as much as this one, provide anything quite like it. With that said, I certainly hope the community and user base continue to grow but I also know that the cost of entry is difficult for many. I certainly love the support we receive here as well as the feedback on upcoming codes.

Thanks for reaching out to us with your concerns. We appreciate your feedback and know that the quick end of the points program isn’t an ideal scenario.

We had a handful of loyal and genuine members like you and we appreciate you more than you know, but unfortunately, there was a lot of abuse of the points program. After a lot of internal reflection and discussion, we came to the conclusion that the only way to end the abuse was to put an end to the program entirely.

This wasn’t a decision that we took lightly, but putting a rapid end to the reward portion of D-BOX PLUS was the best we could do.

We have no intention of slowing down our communication with all our D-BOX PLUS users and we will continue to use all of our members’ feedback to improve our products!
